Book Review: The Last Boy

This was one of two books written by Jane Leavy that I read last summer.  

The Last Boy: Mickey Mantle was very interesting and I was a big, big fan!  I knew of Mantle's triumphs on the field and some of his off the field issue, but it delves deeply into both.  I really enjoyed how this book was written as many sports books just retell box scores and game stories, but this did much more than that; it kept me intrigued and wanting to read more.  Whether you are a Mantle fan or not, I would highly recommend this book!
